Equailty and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)

Has a watching brief on the developing Equalities legislation, especially regarding gender and belief, and runs training on these issues.

Manages the Bilingual Community Officer team.

Works with CEA@Islington colleagues to help promote good practice at primary-secondary transfer.

Assists in delivering the strategy for raising the achievement of minority ethnic pupils

Works with schools to develop effective ways of analysing performance data and using it to raise levels of achievement

Helps schools develop effective strategies for working with minority ethnic parents and community groups in order to promote partnership with schools to support pupils' learning

Organises and contributes to INSET relating to minority ethnic achievement, especially in the social and emotional aspects of learning and in promoting resilience.
