Ethnic Minority Achievement Service

The Early Years EMAS team offers professional support and advice for practitioners working in early years settings (across all sectors) on all aspects of ethnic minority achievement and bilingual practice issues.

We run in-service training either centrally or to individuals and settings by arrangement. We develop practice by working on placements alongside staff and initiating new ways to support development and practice e.g. Assessment document for EAL children in the Early Years and other appropriate resources.

The Early Years Team are still part of Islington Council's 'Education Services'.
